Beyond the Basics of Motion Design

This is a replay of my second lab from Adobe MAX 2021

Create and modify keyframes for motion graphics. Join this follow-along lab where you’ll learn how to elevate your animation skills with simple After Effects tools. Using common animation principles you’ll learn how to stage your scene, add appeal, control timing and easing. Apply these techniques to text, video and shapes to add emotion to the motion. You’ll need a basic understanding of After Effects to make the most out of this class.

In this session you will learn how to:

• Creating a comp from a photoshop file while preserving live text capabilities
• Reveal text using masks and animation presets
• Better animation techniques using the graph editor and parenting
• Layer masks in motion with mattes, pre-comp and keying
• Advance overshoot animation using a built in expression
